Gratitude: The Name of the Game

Hello there Beauties!

I had no idea what to post today, but as usual, things come to me at the very last moment. I feel like 2025 has been a very long year so far, even though we're just five months in. It also feels like it is going by super fast. This current tempo might make you feel like time is moving too fast, and you are running out of time. I have unfortunately fallen into that trap. It feels like my life is passing me by, and I have nothing to show for it. My birthday is about 3 weeks away, and that adds more to the thought that I am running out of time.

However, I am about to enter June with renewed gratitude and blessings. I am approaching life from a place of thankfulness for all I already have, and not from a place of lack. I am doing the best I can. I do not need to keep moving the goalpost each time I feel inadequate. I am not in competition with anyone else. Everything will work itself out, and even if it doesn't, I can make peace with the life I have lived. I will keep my eyes on my goals, and I will try to enjoy my life in the process. I am not behind. Everythig takes time.

Here is some advice for the road:

🌱 1. You're Not Late. You're Learning.
It's not important to have everything worked out in your twenties. Their goal is to figure it out. You are not yet collecting fruit; you are merely sowing seeds. Most people who were successful or genuinely fulfilled didn't "arrive" until they were in their 30s, 40s, or even 50s.

Remember that confusion is actually development disguised as failure.

🧭 2. Establish your own timeline, not theirs.
Comparison steals. A person is not necessarily ahead just because they are engaged, wealthy, fit, or Instagram-famous. Life is more like a soundtrack than a sprint. Everybody has a distinct playlist. It may take longer for yours to reach the chorus.

💪 3. Invest in yourself.
If you're concerned about time slipping, ask:

  •  What behaviours can I establish now that my future self will thank me for?
  •  What relationships provide me peace and joy?
  •  What can I learn—a skill, a language, or a mindset?

Time spent developing resilience, kindness, competence, and curiosity is never squandered.

🧠 4. Your timeline is non-linear.
You may halt, restart, fall back, or leap ahead.  That is normal.  Life may take you on detours to teach you things the direct way never could.

❤️ 5. Be patient with yourself.
You do not need to be spectacular to be sufficient.  If all you did today was survive, that's fine.  Keep showing up.  Keep trying.
You are not behind. You are becoming.
And that takes time — the kind of time that’s worth taking.

You got this.

QOTD:  Are you more querulous (implies a person who is always complaining and often in a bad mood) than grateful? How can you change that?

Love from all ends,
Bella

  1. I’ve realized that I’ve forgotten how gratitude works. Thanks for always reminding me to be grateful for the simple things in life. I’ll need to figure out how to be grateful and at the same time take care of myself. Well, that’s it. Love from all ends,
    Baba….
