Tips for Sad Szn

Hello there Beauties!

Here are five tips to get through the holidays (aka sad szn). Please tweak it how you see fit.

  1. Do something you love, even if you have to force yourself to do it. I love journaling and it has been hard just getting out of bed for five minutes to do it, but I force myself to do it.
  2. Don’t isolate yourself from the people who care about you. Even if you don’t want to talk about how you’re feeling, keep engaged and at least reply to messages when people check up on you.
  3. Keep active. Go for a walk. Go to the gym if you can. Stretch for 5 minutes. You just need to get outa bed, love. Don’t let your feelings keep you in bed and out of touch.
  4. Feel your feelings. Even if they make you wanna tear your hair out. Cry if you need to. Don’t bottle up those feelings just because you’re scared to feel them. It’s okay if you miss your loved one, and that you feel the holiday isn’t complete without them. Your feelings are valid and they’re meant to be felt as part of your healing process.
  5.  Love yourself a little bit more this season. Treat yourself to a nice little gift, and remember that healing is not linear. You deserve a little grace, and a lot of self love. You got this, love.

QOTD: How are you keeping active this holiday? I’m trying to maintain at least 1500 steps per day and it hasn’t been going well, lol.
