Timing and Destiny

Hello there Beauties!

How are you guys on this fine Sunday evening? I’m doing well as it stands. Anyway, let’s get right into it. Do y’all believe in timing? More specifically, do y’all believe that everything happens in its own time; when it’s supposed to happen? If so, how do we determine what’s meant to be and what’s not? Believing in this idea leaves me with more doubts than hope, and more questions than answers.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe in hope. I believe that what’s meant for you is yours, no matter how long it takes to be yours. I also believe in being successful if I work hard enough. However, where do we draw the line? How do we differentiate between destiny and outcome?

Breaking it down…….

Everybody is destined for greatness because everybody has greatness within them. At least, that’s what I think. On the other hand, outcome is the result of all the work one puts in. In a utopian world, hard work + discipline = a positive outcome (greatness/success if you will).

Unfortunately, life doesn’t always work out like that. If life is working against you or the odds are not in your favour, you could work hard your whole life and not be successful, even though that’s your desired outcome. Therefore, it’s safe to say that belief, faith, hope, manifestation, and all that other ideology coupled with hard work are not the only recipes for success. If that were the case, I should be a successful black woman in my 20s living life. That’s clearly not the case because I’m a stay-at-home, not-yet-rich, struggling, 20-something college dropout who journals, writes a blog and poetry, and is actively working on herself. And I’ve been working hard and staying disciplined my whole life.

So again, it breeds the question: do you believe in timing and destiny, and why?

Let me know. Love from all ends,

Bella.
