'Tis Almost The Season!
Hello there Beauties!
It's a brand new month, and I must admit, I have been slacking off on all my personal responsibilities (things I try to hold myself accountable for because they make me feel more like myself), like journalling, working on monetizing one of my hobbies, practicing my languages, self-care in the form of Rewiring My Mind, and posting on my blog. I have been feeling really overwhelmed, which has led to me not sleeping (big up Dim for suggesting Melatonin gummies), binging shows, and eating at inopportune times for the day. However, I haven't been shirking my professional responsibilities, like focusing on planning my lessons and attending meetings for work, but that has made me feel even more awful. It is definitely
"Sad Szn" and I'm having mixed feelings about it. It's my most favourite time of year, but it's also unfortunately the time of year I'm saddest. Being in a foreign country has not helped that much either. Y'all can check out my Tips for Sad Szn post to see how I navigate that in theory.

Anyway, we are fast approaching the end of the year, and it is when most people start planning for the upcoming year to be their best year yet. Personally, the more I plan the more I disappoint myself so I opt not to plan. One thing about me, the littlest inconvenience happens and I am ready to jump off somewhere, so no planning. I saw this Tiktok from @kala.write on tips to do a "December reset for 2025" and I am going to follow some of those tips. I plan on doing an end-of-year reflection and noting a word that has summed up my year. To add a personal touch, I will also be using Dear Future Me to write a letter to my future self, and choosing a focus word for 2025.
In my end-of-year reflection, I will be answering some questions (provided by AI) to help. You can choose which topics and questions you want to help guide your reflection.
💜Personal Growth:
1. What personal achievements am I most proud of this year?
2. What challenges did I face, and how did I handle them?
3. How have I grown or changed as a person?
4. What lessons did I learn about myself?
💜Relationships:
5. Who had the most positive impact on my life this year?
6. How did I nurture my relationships with friends and family?
7. Are there any relationships that need more attention or healing?
8. What boundaries did I set, and how did they serve me?
💜Career and Education:
9. What professional or academic milestones did I reach?
10. What new skills or knowledge did I acquire?
11. What aspects of my work brought me the most satisfaction or frustration?
12. What goals did I set, and did I achieve them?
💜Health and Well-being:
13. How did I take care of my physical and mental health?
14. What habits or routines helped me feel my best?
15. What areas of my health could use more attention next year?
💜Finances:
16. How did I manage my finances this year?
17. Did I reach any financial goals or make important investments?
18. What financial habits would I like to improve?
💜Fun and Creativity:
19. What new experiences or hobbies brought me joy?
20. How did I express my creativity this year?
21. What were my most memorable moments of fun and relaxation?
💜Giving Back:
22. How did I contribute to my community or help others?
23. What causes or issues am I passionate about supporting?
💜Future Planning:
24. What goals do I want to set for next year?
25. What do I need to let go of to move forward?
26. How can I better align my actions with my values in the coming year?
I have highlighted the ones I will be focusing on. I have so many dreams I want to see come to life in 2025, and I know it is so cliche but I really hope 2025 will be my year. Just a reminder not to focus on, pressure yourself into making unrealistic goals, or berating yourself because you haven't achieved every single thing you set out to do. If all you did was survive, then hats off to you.
QOTD: If you had to describe 2024 in one word, what would it be and why?
Love from all ends,
Bella
