And So We Bloomed!
Seed – The plant life cycle begins with a seed containing the embryo and stored nutrients.
Germination – The seed absorbs water, swells, and the embryo starts to grow, breaking through the seed coat.
Seedling – A small plant emerges with initial leaves, beginning photosynthesis.
Vegetative – Rapid growth phase where the plant develops stems, leaves, and roots.
Budding/Flowering – The plant produces buds that bloom into flowers, preparing for reproduction.
Fruiting/Maturation – Flowers are pollinated, fruits and seeds form, and the plant reaches full maturity.
I want you to read through all the stages carefully, and think about where you are currently in your life. I know sometimes (because I also struggle with this daily) that it’s so easy to get caught up with everything happening around us, everybody achieving their goals and living their lives, and feeling stuck where you are.
I want to redirect you to the fact that you have to be planted in order to bloom. Say it with me (in my best Dora voice) “I have to be planted in order to bloom.”
So, it may feel like you’re being buried because you’re overwhelmed with everything going on. You may feel like life (dirt) is piling on top of you and you have no way out. You may feel like you’re stuck in a hole and can’t seem to come out of it. You may feel like you’ve been thrown down, discarded, or forgotten.
In all this, I want you to remember that you have to be planted to bloom. You’re just in the seed stage right now. You just need a little water, a little sunlight, some hope, some love, and some nurture. Work on doing those things so you can germinate, so you can emerge, so you can develop, so you can bloom, so you can mature.
Nuh watch nuh case. Keep working on you, little by little. Speak positivity over your life. Speak life into yourself. Surround yourself with enough sunlight, water, hope, love, and nurture, so if you’re falling short you can be replenished.
Remember your journey is different. Focus on your individual path. Go at your own pace. Bloom where you are planted.
QOTD: How can you breathe life into yourself this week?
